Saudi Arabia's April reserves drop to 5-year amid low oil prices

Saudi Arabia’s reserves dropped SAR 10 billion to reach SAR 720 billion in April, marking a five-year low, according to new figures released by the Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency (SAMA), the kingdom’s central bank.

 

The kingdom saw its current account gain SAR 28 billion to SAR 87.3 billion last month, compared to March.

 

Reserves recorded for the end of 2010 stood at SAR 714 billion, as the government allocated its budget surplus for special use, according to data available on Argaam.
