Saudi International Petrochemical Company (Sipchem) said on Monday that it has launched commercial production at the cable insulation polymers plant owned by its affiliate Gulf Advanced Cables Insulation Company.
The facility is located at the company’s complex in Jubail Industrial City, Sipchem said in a statement to Tadawul.
Financial impact will be reflected in the company’s second quarter results, it added.
Cable insulation polymers are mainly used for manufacturing electrical cable insulation materials.
The plant, which targets local and global markets, uses low-density polyethylene (LDPE) and ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) to manufacture its products. Sipchem affiliate International Polymers Company (IPC) provides the facility with most of its basic materials used for production.
