Tadawul foreign ownership through swap deals down at 51 firms

Foreign ownership through swap agreements declined across 51 Tadawul-listed firms between by Tuesday, and rose in 35 other stocks, market data showed.

 

No change was seen in the shares owned by qualified foreign institutional investors (QFIs) and their approved clients.

 

Foreign investors bought the most shares in Malath Insurance, raising their holding by 0.25 percent to 3.15 percent on Tuesday.

 

Saudi Industrial Export Co. (SIECO) came second with an increase of 0.16 percent in foreign ownership to 2.46 percent; followed by SABB Takaful and Al Sagr Cooperative Insurance, which each witnessed a 0.09 percent increase.

Meanwhile, foreign investors reduced their position in Arabian Shield Cooperative Insurance by 0.21 percent, followed by Dar Alarkan Real Estate Development Co. and Al-Khaleej Training and Education Co. by 0.19 percent each.

 

On June 15, Saudi Arabia’s $566 billion stock market for the first time opened its doors to foreign direct investment to 164 listed firms.
