National Chemical Carriers (NCC), a subsidiary of the National Shipping Company of Saudi Arabia (Bahri), received on July 3 one of the two IMO 2 class chemical carriers it had contracted on April 30, Bahri said in a statement to Tadawul.

Financial impact of the deal will be reflected in the second half of 2015.

NCC, which is 80 percent-owned by Bahri, signed a memorandum of understanding in April, to buy two second-hand mono-hull tankers previously owned by Norwegian Shipping company Berganger KS, according to Argaam.

NCC paid $28.5 million for both tankers, which were built at a dock in South Korea in 2009. The carriers have a capacity of around 45,000 DWT.
