Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport has resumed normal operations after bad weather delayed a number of flights on Saturday, Asharq Al-Awsat reported, citing director general Yusuf Al-Abdan.
The move was aimed at ensuring the safety of passengers, Al-Abdan added. A sandstorm hit parts of Saudi Arabia over the weekend leading to poor visibility.
The airport had previously cancelled flights in April when a freak eight-hour sandstorm descended on the capital city of Riyadh.
