09/08/2015 Argaam - Exclusive

Saudi Arabia’s general reserves declined by SAR 1.1 billion to SAR 659 billion in June from May, according to Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency (SAMA), the kingdom’s central bank.

General reserves fell by SAR 246 billion during the first half of 2015.

The Saudi government puts aside its surplus revenue in a reserve account at SAMA, which can be tapped into only with a royal decree and under special circumstances related to its vital interests.
