Saudi Aramco cuts September sulfur price to $150/ton

11/08/2015 Argaam

Saudi Aramco Products Trading, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Saudi Aramco, has reduced its sulfur price for September shipments to $150/tonne free on board (FOB) Jubail, down $2/tonne from the previous month, ICIS reported on Monday, citing unnamed industry sources.

Lower prices may lead to stabilization in market demand, according to one trader polled by ICIS.

Spot prices in China—a major importer of sulfur— are expected to remain soft after higher prices set by Middle Eastern producers added pressure on the market.

Qatar International Petroleum Marketing Company Ltd (Tasweeq) raised its Qatar Sulfur Price (QSP) $2/tonne between July and August to $151/tonne FOB Ras Laffan.

Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) set its official selling price (OSP) for August sulfur shipments to India at $155/tonne FOB Ruwais, marking a $5/tonne increase from July.
