Finland’s Wartsila wins SAR 24 mln contract to operate Umm Al Qura’s power station

Umm Al Qura Cement has inked a SAR 24 million contract with Finland-based Wartsila Power Contracting Company, which will help the Saudi cement-maker operate a power station at its plant.

 

The agreement, which has a three-year term, will cost Umm Al Qura SAR 8 million annually. It will also be financed through the company’s internal resources, the Saudi-based company said in a statement on Tuesday.

 

Payment installments will begin from the fourth quarter of this year.
