Saudi cabinet picks Maaden to build Waad al-Shamal industrial city

Saudi Arabias cabinet chose Saudi Arabian Mining Co. (Maaden) to build the first phase and part of the second phase of King Abdullah Project for Waad al-Shamal industrial city, which includes the infrastructure, residential, commercial, and social facilities.

 

Saudi Industrial Property Authority, Modon, was assigned to build the industrial areas infrastructure and facilities, including that of Waad al-Shamal phosphate mining project developed by Maaden.

 

Modon will eventually manage and maintain the entire city except the phosphate mining project.
