SABIC said it plans to shut down its cyclohexane (CX) facility in Wilton, United Kingdom at the start of 2017, ICIS reported, citing an unnamed company source.
There has been talk that the company would shut down the plant, following an announcement that SABIC would be modifying its 865,000 ton/year UK cracker to operate on ethane from the United States, the report added.
This had spread panic in the market and fears about future supply.
