A trial run of the expanded Jeddah’s King Abdulaziz International Airport (KAIA) is said to begin by the middle of next year, the Saudi-based Okaz newspaper reported, citing unnamed sources.
The airport’s apron is currently being built and prepared for the trial phase.
The revamped facility, which is said to be 85 percent complete, will serve 30 million passengers annually, according to data available on Argaam.
