Rabigh Refining and Petrochemical Co. (Petro Rabigh) will issue on Monday tenders for its polyether polyol, sulfur, naphtha plants, the company said in a statement on Tadawul.
Bidders will implement the engineering works and supply the materials required for the projects.
The polyether polyol and sulfur units will operate at an annual capacity of 220,000 tons and 106,000 tons, respectively.
The naphtha facility will produce clean fuel with a capacity of 17,000 barrels per day.
Qualified bidders will start work in H2-2016 and the financial impact of the projects will be determined later, the company added.
Petro Rabigh, is a joint venture between Japan’s Sumitomo Chemicals and state-owned energy firm Saudi Aramco.
