Sadara Basic Services Co., a wholly owned subsidiary of Sadara Chemical Co. (Sadara), has kick started operations at its polyethylene (PE) plant in Jubail, which will produce low density polyethylene, the company said in a statement to Tadawul.

Operations began on Monday at the facility, which is the first of the 26 world scale plants that are being built in the Sadara complex.

The plant designed to produce 375,000 metric tons/year of products, using proprietary technology of the Dow Chemical Co.

The relevant financial impact will be reflected on Q4-2015 earnings, the statement added.

Sadara is a joint venture between Saudi Aramco (65 percent) and Dow Chemical Co. (35 percent).
