GFH Financial says cost of continued listing on KSE still a concern

The cost associated with the continued listing on the Kuwait Stock Exchange (KSE) remains as a concern for the Bahrain-based GFH Financial Group despite its recent decision to suspend plans to delist from the exchange.

In a statement to the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) on Monday, GFH Financial clarified other reasons for move, which came after Kuwait’s Capital Market Authority (CMA) issued amendments to ease many restrictions in regulations relating to disclosure and transparency.

GFH had said in September it would plan to delist its shares from KSE as it aimed to focus trading in its home market and on the DFM, the main secondary market for its shares.

The group was also looking to avoid potential speculation risks in Kuwait and Dubai and protect itself from violating CMA rules which contradict regulations in Bahrain, the statement added.

GFH provides Islamic finance solutions and invests in infrastructure and real estate projects.
