Petro Rabigh faces power outage at RAWEC facilities

Rabigh Refining & Petrochemical Company (Petro Rabigh) said it faced Wednesday evening an expected power outage at the electric power and steam supplier at Rabigh Arabian Water and Electricity Company (RAWEC).

 

The outage caused disruptions at some parts of the complex; however, there is little or no damage, the company said in a statement to the Saudi bourse.

 

Teams deployed by Petro Rabigh and RAWEC were able to activate the power supply. Both companies are currently investigating the reasons behind the disruptions and are working to restore operations at all stalled units.

 

The financial impact of the outages will be announced at a later date.
