Saudi Arabia will unveil its National Transformation Plan (NTP) on Thursday, June 2, which will shed more light on strategies outlined in the Saudi Vision 2030 program, local newspaper Sabq reported, citing Mansour bin Saad Al Saud, director of the strategic planning at the state-owned Saudi Industrial Development Fund (SIDF).
The NTP also intends to accelerate the country’s transition to a more diversified, free market economy by attracting more foreign investors and increasing output from its industry and services sector. The program aims to reduce the size of the government, boost economic competition, and integrate more Saudi women into the labor force.
Vision 2030, which was approved last April by the Saudi cabinet, has set out the below targets:
