Methanex Corp., the world’s largest producer and supplier of methanol, has raised its Asian contract price (ACP) by $10 to $275 per tonne for June.
The company also upped the price on North American contracts for June by $17 to $266 per tonne.
The monthly prices issued by the Canadian firm are considered as an indicative price for other players, as well as for the spot market.
Saudi Basic Industries Corp. (SABIC), Saudi International Petrochemical Co. (Sipchem), the Saudi-based Methanol Chemicals Co. (Chemanol) and Qatar Industries (QI) are also among the top methanol producers in Asia.
