Rabigh Refining and Petrochemical Co. (Petro Rabigh) is expected to start its 160,000 tonne per year ethylene vinyl acetate/low density polyethylene (EVA/LDPE) swing plant towards the end of this year, ICIS reported, citing an unnamed company source.
The petrochemical firm aims to start operating the unit between mid-November and December, the source said.
The EVA/LDPE plant is one of the derivative units at Petro Rabigh’s Phase-II expansion project.
Petro Rabigh is a joint venture between state-owned Saudi Aramco and Japan’s Sumitomo Chemical.
