Nesma Airlines gets flying permit from Saudi Arabia

02/08/2016 Argaam

Nesma Airlines has received its airline operator certificate (AOC) from Saudi Arabia's General Authority for Civil Aviation (GACA) in Hail, said GACA’s assistant vice president, Abdul Hakim Al Badar.

The airline has completed all the relevant regulatory, financial and safety requirements, Al Badar added.

Last November, the airline obtained an official license from GACA as an airline operator across the kingdom, Argaam reported.

Two budget airlines, Al-Maha Airways, backed by Qatar Airways, and Saudi Gulf Air, owned by the local Al-Qahtani Group were also licensed by GACA by the end of 2012.
