Jarir says Jeddah showroom fire damage to cost SAR 25 mln

06/10/2016 Argaam

The damage done to Jarir Marketing Co.’s Jeddah bookstore after a fire and temporary closure will cost about SAR 25.23 million to repair.

The costs of damages will fully be covered by the company’s fire insurance policy, Jarir said in a bourse statement, adding that it does not expect to record material net losses.

The showroom will eventually resume operations, the company added, without setting a date.

In September, a small fire that broke out at Jarir’s Jeddah showroom was contained with no injuries reported, Argaam earlier reported.
