Majority of Saudi imports came from China, US in 2015

Imported goods in Saudi Arabia edged up by 0.5 percent in 2015 to SAR 655 billion, compared to SAR 651.9 billion in 2014, with the majority of imports coming from China and the United States, according to official data from the Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency (SAMA).

 

Saudi imports from 16 non-Arab countries increased by 3 percent last year to SAR 468.8 billion, accounting for 81.6 percent of the kingdom's gross imports.

 

China dominated the majority of Saudi imports in 2015 amounting to SAR 92.4 billion, or 14.1 percent of total imports. It was followed by the US (13.7 percent).
