Central bank changes name to Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority

04/12/2016 Argaam

Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency, the kingdom’s central bank, has been renamed as Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority, the bank said in a statement on Sunday.

“All agreements, obligations and contracts entered into under the previous name will remain effective and unaffected by this change,” it added.

The new name will keep the previous acronym "SAMA," and will be effective immediately.
