The National Shipping Company of Saudi Arabia (Bahri) will receive on Tuesday the first Very Large Crude Carrier (VLCC) from South Korea’s Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries Co., Yonhap News Agency, reported.
In 2015, Bahri signed an agreement with Hyundai Samho to build five VLCCs, with an option to build additional five VLCCs. The tankers are expected to be delivered over the next two years.
Bahri will receive the giant oil carrier, named ‘Amjaad’, in Mokpo city, in the southern province of South Korea.
