Saudi Arabian Oil Co. (Saudi Aramco) plans to shut down its Riyadh refinery for scheduled maintenance for 80 days beginning March 1.
During the shutdown, all linking and construction works between refinery units and the fuel transportation project will be completed.
All petroleum products produced by the refinery such as diesel, 95 & 91 petrol variants, kerosene, asphalt and liquid petroleum gas (LPG) will be provided by the company during the maintenance period through increased production at other refineries. The central region’s supply will be hiked by pumping more quantities into the pipelines feeding the region, the company said.
The company has coordinated with National Gas and Industrialization Co. (GASCO) to withdraw LPG as needed from the Qatif refinery, Saudi Aramco added.
Riyadh refinery has a total refining capacity of 126,000 barrel per day (bpd).
