Saudi Arabia in talks to export oil through Fujairah

28/03/2017 Argaam

Saudi Arabia is in talks with the United Arab Emirates to export Saudi oil through Fujairah port, news reports said citing Mohammed Ahmed Al Nuaimi, assistant secretary general of UAE’s Federation of the Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FCCI).

He said the port has full logistics solutions, including a railway.

Meanwhile, the GCC chambers of commerce are considering a gulf marine network, similar to the GCC unified electricity network, Hameed Mohammed Bin Salem, secretary general of FCCI

The UAE in 2013 launched an oil export pipeline from the Habshan oil field in Abu Dhabi to its coastline in Fujairah, allowing it to bypass the politically sensitive Strait of Hormuz, Argaam earlier reported.
