Saudi Arabia’s crude oil exports declined to 6.96 million barrels per day (mbd) in February 2017 from 7.7 mbd the previous month, according to latest figures from the Joint Organizations Data Initiative (JODI).
Exports hit their lowest level since May 2015, when the kingdom exported 6.94 mbd.
Saudi oil production, however, rose to 10.01 mbd in February, from 9.75 mbd in January.
Crude local consumption rose to 3.05 mbd, from 2.04 mbd in the previous month.
Saudi Arabia agreed with fellow OPEC producers in November last year to cut crude production by a combined 1.2 mbd, in order to tackle the global supply glut and prop up prices.
Monthly export figures are provided by Saudi Arabia and other OPEC members to JODI.
