These are the Saudi pay cuts that were reversed by royal decree

Saudi Arabia’s King Salman issued a royal decree on Saturday restoring bonuses and allowances for public sector employees and military personnel that were previously suspended under austerity measures amid lower oil prices. Below is a list of the pay cuts and bonuses that were reinstated.

 

1) Annual raises and any raises related to contract renewal or extension

 

2) At least 21 allowances and bonuses that were previously cancelled, including nature-of-work allowance, risk allowance, sickness allowance, in addition to monthly bonuses for social insurance personnel and military industry staff

 

3) Travel allowance and promotion bonuses were also restored

 

4) Allowances, bonuses and benefits that were previously amended including allowances offered to field supervisors, trainees and on-call employees. It also covers flight allowances, industrial royalties’ allowances, Ramadan allowances, housing and private education stipends, among others

 

5) Achievement bonuses, incentive bonuses and others

 

6) Overtime bonuses

 

7) Special assignment allowances

 

8) Transportation allowances during leave
