Saudi Arabia’s consumer prices dropped for a fourth consecutive month in April, declining 0.6 percent year-on-year (YoY), data compiled by Saudi Arabia's Central Department of Statistics showed.
The cost of living index slipped to 136.8 points, compared to 137.6 points in April 2016.
Food and beverage prices declined 2.6 percent YoY in April, followed by transport costs, which dropped 2.2 percent.
Meanwhile, prices of housing and utilities rose 0.5 percent.
Inflation in Saudi Arabia turned negative for the first time in over a decade in January this year (-0.4 percent).
