Sahara’s board appoints new Awqaf representative

Sahara Petrochemicals Co.’s board of directors approved on May 30 appointing Khalid Bin Saleh Al-Furaih as a board member representing the General Authority of Awqaf Council, effective immediately until the end of the term on June 26, 2018.

 

The appointment is still subject to the general assembly’s approval, the company said in a statement to Tadawul on Wednesday.

 

Al-Furaih holds a bachelor’s degree in media from Imam Muhammad ibn Saud Islamic University, and currently serves as an assistant undersecretary of Awqaf affairs.

 

On Dec. 12, 2016 the Awqaf Council announced that it would replace its representative on Sahara’s board of directors.

 

The petrochemical firm received a letter on May 3 nominating Al-Furaih to fill the position.
