Court forces Saudi Oger to pay workers’ dues

Saudi Arabia’s Executive Court has issued ruled a verdict that will force Saudi Oger to pay the delayed wages to its employees, Okaz newspaper reported on Monday.

The court confirmed that it has granted the company the grace period allowed by the regulations so that it can implement the verdict.

The court is, meanwhile, completing the procedures needed to sequester Oger’s properties and other assets so as to force the company to pay the delayed wages

Saudi Oger, which is owned by the family of Lebanese Prime Minister-designate Saad al-Hariri, has struggled to pay wages owed to its workers amid a wider slowdown in the Saudi construction sector, following the plunge in oil prices in mid-2014.
