Former Saudi billionaire Adnan Khashoggi has died in London at the age of 82, several family members said on their social media accounts on Tuesday.
Khashoggi became one of the richest men in the world in the 1970s and '80s, amassing his fortune by brokering international arms deals.
He brokered deals between Saudi Arabia and American firms in the 1960s and '70s, working closely with the Lockheed Corporation, now Lockheed Martin.
Most of his wealth was lost in the past 20 years however, after a series of unfortunate events, he has said in TV and newspaper interviews.
