Saudi Arabia’s health minister Tawfiq Al Rabiah has approved a recent decision by the Kingdom’s Council of Cooperative Health Insurance (CCHI) suspending Gulf Union Cooperative Insurance Company (Gulf Union) from issuing medical insurance policies as of June 8, CCHI said in a statement.
The suspension came after the insurer violated the health insurance unified laws and regulations by over-selling cooperative insurance policies.
