Saudi Arabia’s General Authority of Zakat and Tax (GAZT) has denied media reports about there being tax seals on the goods subject to selective tax, the authority said on its official Twitter account Sunday.
Meanwhile, GAZT confirmed that it is the only official, reliable source for information on the new excise tax.
The Kingdom started on Sunday applying the selective tax at 100 percent on tobacco and byproducts, as well as energy beverages, and at 50 percent on soft drinks, Argaam reported.
