The Saudi Labor and Social Development Ministry is planning to launch eight Saudization projects to provide 171,000 job opportunities for Saudi nationals, Al-Eqtisadiyah newspaper reported, citing a ministry statement.

Under a four-year strategy, the ministry will Saudize jobs at grocery and food stores. It has already finalized 20 percent of its plan, which would provide 20,000 jobs.

The Kingdom also plans to apply Saudization at car rentals to provide an additional 5,000 jobs for locals.

The ministry is also nationalizing 60 percent of tourism jobs. It has already signed 2,200 Saudi employment contracts in the hospitality sector, aiming to employ 33,000 locals in the sector by the end of 2018.
