Saudi International Petrochemical Co. (Sipchem) said operations restarted at its subsidiaries, the carbon monoxide plant of International Gases Co. (IGC) and International Acetyl Co. (IAC), after completion of their scheduled turnaround maintenance.

The maintenance came as part of both subsidiaries’ 2017 business plans and is expected to enhance their production efficiency, the company said in a bourse statement.

In a separate statement the petrochemicals company said it has begun operations at the vinyl acetate monomer plant at the International Vinyl Acetate Co., a Sipchem subsidiary.

The related financial impact will show in Q2-2017, the statement added.

The company took the necessary precautions to fulfill supply commitments to customers without interruption during this period.

Sipchem owns 72 percent stake in IGC and 87 percent stakes each in IAC and IVC.
