The United Arab Emirates was not behind the alleged hacking of Qatari websites, UAE minister of state for foreign affairs Anwar Gargash was quoted as saying by Reuters.
Gargash was speaking at a forum in London on Monday.
The minister said that the UAE would not escalate its boycott against Qatar, by asking companies to choose between doing business with the emirates or with Qatar.
Gargash’s comments came after Washington Post, citing unnamed US intelligence officials, reported that the UAE was behind the hacking of Qatari websites in May.
Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Bahrain and Egypt severed diplomatic and transport ties with Qatar in June, accusing it of supporting terrorism.
