Saudi Binladin Group is planning to resume work at the expansion project of the Two Holy Mosques following the Hajj season, Al-Madinah newspaper reported on Wednesday, citing a company document.
The Kingdom’s largest contractor issued a document on Monday, August 14 notifying all workers that they should resume work after the Hajj season.
The company also said it would pay a two or three-month salary of workers dues, starting from August 20.
The remaining dues will be paid in installments after resuming expansion works at the site, the document added.
SBG has been severely hit by the government spending cuts and a temporary suspension from bidding on new state projects, after one of its cranes collapsed at the Grand Mosque in 2015 in an accident that killed 107 people.
