Drake & Scull’s chairman resigns

Dubai-listed contracting firm Drake & Scull International (DSI) on Sunday said that chairman Majid Saif Al Ghurair has resigned due to personal reasons.

 

“We would like to inform you that Mr. Majid Saif Al Ghurair- the Chairman of the Board of Directors resigned today from the Chairmanship and Membership of the Board of Directors,” the company said in a statement.

 

In a separate statement posted on the Dubai Financial Market (DFM), DSI said that the Board of Directors is planning to hold a meeting on Tuesday Sept. 12 to discuss several issues including the election of a new chairman and vice president.

 

Just a month earlier, DSI announced the termination of former chief executive officer Wael Allan, as well as the resignation of several other board members, including former executive vice-chairman Khaldoun Al Tabari.
