Firms have submitted revised bids for the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) work of Abu Dhabi Company for Onshore Petroleum Operations’ (Adco) Bab field expansion project, MEED reported today, citing sources familiar with the matter.
SK Engineering & Construction, Intecsa, Tecnicas Reunidas, Saipem, JGC, China Petroleum Engineering & Construction Corporation, Petrofac and UAE’s National Petroleum Construction Co. were asked to submit revised bids on Sep. 10.
The firms initially submitted the bids on Aug. 8, it was reported.
The scope of work includes installing new facilities at Bab field, one of the largest planned oil and gas projects in the country, located 160 kilometers southwest of Abu Dhabi city.
As part of the original scope, surface facilities would be delivered for the Thamama-A, Thamama-H and Thamama-B production zones to achieve a total sustainable oil production rate of 450,000 barrels per day.
Adco is a joint venture of Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (Adnoc) and six international oil firms.
