Saudi Arabia's cabinet approved amendments to the income tax law, which will come into effect from the beginning of the next fiscal year, state-owned Saudi Press Agency reported on Tuesday.
The amendments mainly relate to the tax dispute resolution mechanism.
They include reducing the period within which an appeal against a tax assessment may be filed, to 30 days from 60 days.
A committee for resolution of tax violations and disputes will be set up, along with another committee to issue final decisions on appeals.
