Eastern Cement names new acting chairman

Eastern Province Cement Co.’s board of directors has appointed Abdulmohsen Al Ruwaished as acting chairman of the board, effective Sept. 20, 2017.

The decision came after the company’s former chairman and board member, Turki Al Saud, resigned on Sept. 11 following his appointment as a consultant at the Royal Court.

The resignation was accepted by the board on Sept. 20 and became effective immediately, the company said in a bourse statement.

The new chairman, who previously held the position of deputy chairman at the cement company, ha sover 30 years of managerial, financial, legal and economic experience, the statement added.
