Saudi cabinet approves SWCC’s reverse osmosis desalination plant

The Saudi Cabinet has approved a contract inked between the Saline Water Conversion Corporation (SWCC), New Energy and Industrial Technology Development (NEDO), and other companies to develop a reverse osmosis desalination plant in the Kingdom, state-run news agency, SPA, has reported.

 

Last August, the Saudi Water & Electricity Co. (WEC) invited expressions of interest (EoIs) for the development of a reverse osmosis desalination plant in Rabigh, 150 kilometers north of Jeddah.
