Dubai’s RTA appoints Parsons to design Creek Bridge: MEED

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has appointed US-based Parsons, the global construction firm, to design the Sixth Crossing over Dubai Creek, MEED has reported.

Parsons will prepare designs for the bridge, which will provide access to the Dubai Creek Harbour development from the Oud Metha and Jaddaf area.It is set to be a less expensive crossing, with a more basic design, MEED said.

The crossing will include the Dubai Metro Green Line extension, which will connect Creek Station with Academic City.

In 2015, RTA appointed Parsons as an engineering consultant for Al Shindagha Bridge over Dubai Creek.
