Saudi budget carrier Flynas will start direct flights to Iraq, becoming the first Saudi airline to offer the route in 27 years.
There have been no flights between Saudi Arabia and Iraq since former Iraqi President Saddam Hussein invaded Kuwait in 1990.
Flynas will launch flights to several Iraqi cities in a few weeks, the airline said in a statement.
Tickets will be available in a few days on the airline’s website and smartphone applications.
Flynas earlier announced the launch of four weekly flights to Beirut on Nov. 1.
The budget carrier recently signed a deal to purchase 124 Airbus A320neo planes for $8.6 billion.
