Riyadh-based King Abdullah Financial District project did not fail, and its first phase will be opened in 2018, Bloomberg reported, citing Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
The number of offices was reduced, while residential units increased, he said, adding that the G-20 will be held in the financial district in 2020.
The problem with the project was that the office space was much bigger than the needs of Riyadh, so the entire financial district was restructured according to Vision 2030, the Crown Prince added.
