Kuwait’s Emir Shaikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah has accepted the cabinet’s resignation earlier today, Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reported.
Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah handed in the government’s resignation following reports that the National Assembly would discuss on Tuesday a no-confidence vote against a number of ministers for alleged irregularities.
The resigned ministers will remain as cabinet caretakers pending the formation of a new cabinet.
