OPEC said to maintain oil output cuts until 2018-end

The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) will likely maintain its current curb on oil production until the end of 2018, despite potential supply disruptions next year, Reuters reported on Wednesday, citing GCC OPEC sources.

The cartel, along with Russia and nine other producers, have cut output by about 1.8 million barrels per day since January this year.

The agreement is valid until March 2018, but the producers are reportedly considering an extension.

OPEC is scheduled to next meet at its headquarters in Vienna on Nov. 30.
