MetLife AIG ANB names Rabih Abdul Khalek as CEO

MetLife AIG ANB Cooperative Insurance Co.’s board of directors has appointed Rabih Abdul Khalek as managing director and chief executive officer, starting Jan. 1, 2018.

 

The appointment is pending approval from the Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority (SAMA) and the company’s general assembly, MetLife said in a bourse statement on Monday.

 

Abdul Khalek will replace Carl Tachdjian, who will move to another position within MetLife, effective Dec. 31, 2017.

 

The new chief executive has over 27 years of experience in insurance during which he held various leadership positions, including deputy chairman and managing director of MetLife Alico, Egypt, and recently as head of accident, health & unit linked fund management at MetLife EMEA region.
