Saudi Railways invites bidders for Riyadh-Jeddah causeway project: report

The Saudi Railway Company (SAR) has invited international companies to build and operate a new causeway project, Okaz newspaper reported, citing chief executive Bashar Al Malik.

 

The company received a great response from local and international firms to take part in the project that is set to launch next year, he said.

 

The company is currently studying the best route and location for the project in the Western region, he added.

 

In August, the company said it plans to offer the Riyadh-Jeddah causeway project for private sector investment soon, Argaam previously reported.

 

Commenting on the ticket prices of the Haramain rail, specialists are studying the issue, which will be referred to the Public Transport Authority for final approval, Al Malik said.
