The Saudi ministry of environment, water and agriculture (MEWA) is inviting bids only from local agricultural firms, interested to join the four companies authorized to import solid nitrate, state-owned news agency SPA reported on Monday.
Interested applicants, which should be wholly owned by Saudi nationals, should enclose bids with a statement mentioning the number of their branches, warehouses approved by the Saudi Civil Defense, and the commercial registry including fertilizer business.
Other documents should state name and origin of exporters.
New importers are requested by the ministry to abide by selling solid nitrate directly to farmers.
